Everyone talks about weight loss, all the time! But somehow we make the same resolution year after year and never make it. So, this time, you’re really going to lose the weight and get paid for it at the same time.
People think losing weight is expensive, but it really doesn’t have to be that way. Get paid for losing weight instead.
In high density cities, people pay $45 for an hour long class to lose weight (Soul Cycle?). It’s crazy.
Why not get paid to lose weight instead? Monetize your weight loss and get paid to lose weight instead of paying to lose weight.
I’m a firm believer you can monetize almost every aspect of your life, so I spent a while researching it. Here’s a list of ways to monetize your weight loss from easiest to hardest.
The CDC recommends 10,000 steps per day. SweatCoin pays you just for walking. If you’re walking (or running) the 10,000 recommended steps per day, that’ll amount to approximately $50 a year with SweatCoin paid via Paypal. I’ll take $50 a year for not doing anything extra, wouldn’t you?
They also offer highly discounted exercise equipment that you can buy with SweatCoins.
This app does the same thing as SweatCoin but only pays out in cash. They also sync with other fitness apps for extra money. It’s also around $50 a year if you’re doing the 10,000 steps a year that the CDC recommends.
HealthyWage is a really cool betting site. It allows for large bets on your own weight loss. If you want to lose more than 10 percent of your current body weight, you can bet on that. You can set your own time limit to lose that weight (6 to 18 months), number of pounds you want to lose, and then get a hundreds or thousands of dollars (up to $10,000) if you actually lose the weight. I wrote up a review about them here so you can figure out the best bet to make to maximize your dollars. That is, if you trust you’ll actually do the work and lose the weight!
If you’re certain you can lose the weight, but just need an incentive to do so, then make a bet with HealthWage. Stop saying “I’m going to lose weight this year!” and finally do it.
4). Bike For UberEats
Remember how Soul Cycle was $45 an hour? Well, stop paying someone else to lose weight and get paid to do it instead. Monetize your exercise, dammit.
So how do you make money from biking? Bike for UberEats. In some cities, it’s faster to bike than to drive or take the subway. Why? The bike isn’t limited to one lane so there’s less traffic and doesn’t have to wait for every stop on the subway. Of course you could drive for them as well, but why not get some exercise out of it? If you can do it three times per week for an hour each time, you can get your exercise in and make money at the same time by biking with UberEats.
